Smartphones play a significant role in how we interact with the rest of the world, including how we spend our free time. ice7 casino players, pro gamers, and the average person no longer need to set aside after a long day's work to sit on their PCs or gaming consoles to play their favourite game.

Thanks to mobile games, you can enjoy a game or two on the bus to and from work without sacrificing quality. As a matter of fact, it's because of this convenience that mobile gaming has surpassed PC and is expected to grow every year. And as it grows, certain games grow with it.

Let's take a closer look at these games and why they are so popular.

    Call of Duty

Occasionally abbreviated as "CoD," Call of Duty is undoubtedly the world's most-played first-person-shooting mobile game. The game was first released on 7 November 2006 and has since had several sequels.

The latest sequel is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which garnered several accolades, including the best-selling PC and mobile game of 2019. So successful was the release that Activision developed a spin-off Battle Royale game mode – Call of Duty: Warzone – which had more than 60 million players trying it out in the first month.

Call of Duty can be played on PC, console (Xbox, and PS) as well as on the mobile platform. Regardless of the platform you choose to play the game, you'll have to pick from one of the four modes; Hardpoint, Search and Destroy; Domination, or Battle Royale. They are all fun to play in and have different rules of engagement.

    PUBG

In simple words, if you are looking for a first-person shooting mobile game where the last man standing wins, PUBG is the game for you.

The game starts with 100 players parachuting on an 8x8 KM island, where you kill each other until one remains. Depending on the game mode, the competition's winner can be either a single player, a team of two, or an entire squad of four players.

At the time of parachuting, you all have nothing. As soon as you touch the ground, your first objective should be to look for weapons and other necessary supplies to help you survive the battle.

Irrespective of where you choose to land on the grid, there's loot spread everywhere. Find loot in boxes, look for them in the houses and other structures or strip them off from other players you kill.

Once you feel well equipped with good weapons and gear, try as much as possible not to get killed. If you get killed, try as much as possible to be close to your friend(s) who can resurrect you. A good game of PUBG can last up to forty-five minutes.

    Apex Legends

Like CoD and PUGB, Apex Legends is a free-to-play first-person battle royale game. Battle Royale implies that you'll be playing against 50 other players, and your objective is to remain the last man standing.

Unlike PUGB, there are 30 two-person duos or 20 three-person teams landing on a tiny island. Search for weapons, medical supplies, and other supplies to help you survive or beat other teams in combat.

As time progresses, the combat area shrinks, forcing you to keep moving unless you find yourself outside the "safe zone." If this happens, you automatically die, and only your friend – should they choose to risk their lives too – can resurrect you.

The last team standing wins the round. Apex Legends usually lasts 10 minutes or less, but there are occasions where it can last up to 20 minutes.

    Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO)

Many confuse Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) with CoD. If you are one such player, you are not alone. I used to be one of them until I played both and saw a huge difference between the two games.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) pits two teams head to head: the Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists – hence the name Counter-Strike. The objective of each side is to eliminate the other while completing side missions.

If you are on the terrorists' side, depending on the mode you choose, you'll have to defend hostages or plant a bomb. If you are on the counter terrorists' side, you'll have to rescue the hostage or prevent the bomb from being planted or defuse the already planted bomb. It's an exciting game and tends to last for about 30-60 minutes.

Will These Games Still be Popular in The Future?

There's no doubt that the mobile gaming industry is rapidly expanding and changing. Better graphics, improved audio and powerful gadgets have made it possible for game developers to release better and more entertaining games quickly.

So, the answer to this question is nothing short of mind-boggling. What we can say is grab your phone, download any one of the games (or all of them) and start playing today!
